From WG to Office: Moving Into Our New Home at ETH Upportunity

Every startup has its humble beginnings. For us, that meant 3D printers squeezed between kitchen chairs, prototype parts sharing space with coffee mugs, and meetings that happened wherever there was a free corner in the WG.

Last week marked a small but meaningful milestone: we packed up our things and moved into our new office at ETH Upportunity.

The move itself was very on-brand for an early-stage startup. Laptops, boxes of materials, tools, cables, and half-finished prototypes made their way from the WG into the car, together with teamwork and a bit of improvisation. What had accumulated over months of building, testing, and iterating suddenly became visible as a lot of stuff.

Arriving at the ETH Upportunity space felt like a shift in more than just location. We even managed to claim the former printer room as our new workshop, finally a place where machines, materials, and experiments can live without competing with someone’s lunch break.

Having a dedicated office means:

  • a clear separation between work and personal life,

  • room to think, build, and test properly,

  • and a shared space that supports collaboration and focus.

ETH Upportunity brings together founders, students, and innovators who are all working on very different problems, but with the same drive to turn ideas into impact. Being part of this environment is motivating and grounding at the same time. It’s a reminder that while our journey is unique, we’re not building in isolation.

We’re still unpacking, rearranging, and figuring out where everything belongs. But the next phase of work is already underway.

A big step forward — literally measured in boxes carried up the stairs — and one we’re excited to share.

Onwards from here.
