Testing the prosthetics with athletes

Today was one of those days that refuels your motivation and makes you rethink everything.
We spent the day at Sesi São Paulo, a sports center where some of the best athletes in South America train, including the fastest man on the continent and more than a hundred para-athletes.
Meeting them, hearing about their training, and exchanging experiences was incredibly inspiring. We also had the chance to show our prototype and get direct feedback, and as always, reality teaches you things that no lab ever could. They started trying it out, doing pull-ups and push-ups that some had never managed before. Seeing that moment of surprise and excitement was something special.
Then came an unexpected insight. Many of the sprinters mentioned how difficult it is to keep balance right at the start of a race. Until now, we’ve seen Softletics mainly as a training tool to strengthen both sides equally and correct posture and muscle imbalance. But seeing it through their eyes showed us it could also make a difference on the track itself.
They tried sprinting and immediately felt the potential.
We left with plenty of ideas and even more motivation for what’s ahead.
Stay tuned to see what this means for our next development steps and where you might see our prosthetic in the future. And if you’re wondering why on earth we’re in Brazil (besides meeting some truly inspiring people), make sure to follow our journey. 🌎✨
